The Melted Skull Bowl is a catchall dish shaped like a skull whose lower half flows and pools as if it is still settling. The top of the cranium is open and hollowed into a rounded basin for keys, rings, coins, dice, and whatever else comes out of your pockets at the end of the day. It sits well on a desk, a nightstand, an entry table, or a shelf, and it holds its own as a sculpture even when there is nothing in it.

The basin is the reason this piece exists. The top of the skull is open and hollowed out, with the rim following the natural curve of the cranium so the opening looks carved rather than cut away.
