Haunted Roots is a tall, slim 3D printed background panel that sits against the back glass of a terrarium, vivarium, paludarium, or aquarium. Designed by novYTerra, it blends two ideas into one scene: a forest of twisted, knotted roots and the weathered remains of an old cathedral. Curved, root-like connections tie everything together, gothic window arches peek through the tangle, and small skulls and weathered ornaments are tucked into the details for anyone who looks closely.
It is built to be used, not just looked at. Platforms are staggered at different heights so climbers can work their way up the panel, and numerous openings through the structure create depth and break up the flat back wall. In the lower section, a cave-like hideout is built right into the design. Wet / Mist (PETG)
For terrariums, vivariums, and paludariums that are misted, humid, or bioactive, and for enclosures under high-output UV lighting. Printed in PETG and supplied completely unpainted.
Wet / Aquarium (PETG)
For fully submerged aquarium use and the water section of a paludarium. Printed in PETG and supplied completely unpainted.
CurioPrinta uses PETG for both Wet versions rather than standard PLA because PETG handles prolonged moisture and UV exposure much better than PLA. That is a material choice, not a guarantee: continuous high-output UV can still gradually embrittle PETG over time, and PETG is not permanently waterproof, indestructible, chemically inert, or universally suitable for every animal or water condition.
Dry / PLA
For dry terrariums, ant outworlds, dioramas, tabletop gaming terrain, shelf display, and Halloween or general home decor. PLA versions are not recommended for submerged aquarium use, constantly wet or heavily misted enclosures, or setups with strong UV lighting. Choose PLA only when the panel will stay dry and out of intense UV.

For aquarium use (Wet / Aquarium)

🎨 Color and Appearance
The panel is printed in a solid filament color and is not painted. Some listing photos show Haunted Roots painted with bone-white skulls and dark wood tones; those are finishing examples only, and your panel ships unpainted.
