3D Printed Stone Face Terrarium Decor, Magnetic Ruin Wall Sculpture for Vivarium Aquarium, Gecko Frog Isopod Backdrop

  • Details
A weathered stone face watches out from the back of the enclosure, half swallowed by moss and leaf litter, like a fragment of an old temple wall the jungle grew over. The segmented rock surface catches light and shadow the way real carved stone does, so it reads as part of the landscape rather than an ornament sitting in it. Two built-in magnets hold it against the glass, which means you can place it high, low, or off to one side, and move it whenever your layout changes. No glue, no suction cups, no drilling.

    📖 Full Product Description
This is a 3D printed stone face panel designed to mount directly to the glass of a terrarium, vivarium, paludarium, or aquarium. The sculpted surface is broken into individual stone-like segments with worn edges, fine cracks, and recessed detail, giving it the look of an ancient carved relief that has spent a long time exposed to weather. Designed by novYTerra and printed and sold by CurioPrinta under a commercial license, it is meant to work as a focal point in a planted layout: something for vines to climb across, moss to creep over, and light to rake sideways for depth.
The mounting is the part keepers tend to appreciate most. Magnets are installed in the piece during production, so it simply holds against the glass panel with nothing glued or permanently fixed to your enclosure. You can lift it off for cleaning, slide it to a new spot when the planting fills in, or move it to another tank entirely. Because it sits on the glass rather than the substrate, it frees up floor space and adds visual height without taking up a footprint in the layout.
In a humid, misted, or bioactive build, the PETG Wet Model fits enclosures housing animals such as dart frogs, tree frogs, crested geckos, and day geckos, along with invertebrates like tropical isopods, springtails, and praying mantises. In a dry, arid build or a shelf display, the PLA Dry Model suits keepers of many tarantulas, temperate isopods, and millipedes. The PETG Wet Model is also the version to choose for aquarium use, where the piece works as a background accent in betta tanks, neocaridina shrimp tanks, and small planted community setups. Naming a species here is about matching the piece to the right conditions, not a suitability claim, so please compare the size, surfaces, and magnetic hold against your own animals and enclosure before use.
It is offered in three sizes and prints as a single piece in every one of them, so nothing needs assembling on arrival. You receive the stone face with its magnets installed, printed unpainted in a single solid filament color. Plants, substrate, hardscape, animals, lighting, and the enclosure itself are not included.

    🧱 Material Options
This piece is offered in two versions across all three sizes, so you can match it to your enclosure:
    PETG Wet Model
Choose this version for high-humidity, misted, bioactive, partially submerged, or aquarium setups, and for enclosures running high-output UV lighting. It is printed in PETG and supplied completely unpainted. CurioPrinta uses PETG for these setups rather than standard PLA because PETG handles prolonged moisture and UV exposure considerably better than PLA. That is a material choice rather than a guarantee: continuous high-output UV can still gradually embrittle PETG over time, and PETG is not permanently waterproof, indestructible, chemically inert, or universally suitable for every animal or water condition.
    PLA Dry Model
Choose this version for arid terrariums, dioramas, tabletop terrain, shelf display, and general home decor. PLA versions are not recommended for submerged aquarium use, constantly wet or heavily misted enclosures, or setups with strong UV lighting. Pick PLA only when the piece will stay dry and out of intense UV.

    🔧 Setup, Use & Care
    Mounting to the glass
🧲 Bring the two magnetic halves together slowly rather than letting them snap. Neodymium magnets pull hard, and a sharp impact against glass can chip or crack a pane.
📏 Test the hold on your own glass before adding animals. Magnetic grip depends on pane thickness, and thicker glass means a weaker hold.
🔁 Reposition by sliding rather than prying, and lift the piece straight off when you want to remove it.
For aquarium use (PETG Wet Model)
💧 Rinse thoroughly with clean water before placing it in an aquarium.
🚫 Avoid soaps, detergents, household cleaners, and unapproved chemical treatments.
🔍 Inspect the piece before use, and confirm the size and surfaces suit the animals in the tank.
🧲 Check the magnet seats as part of normal maintenance. Neodymium magnets corrode when water reaches them, so remove the piece if a seat cracks, a magnet works loose, or rust staining appears.
🐟 Position it so it cannot shift, tip, trap an animal, or press hard against the glass, and observe your animals after installing anything new.
For terrarium, vivarium & paludarium use
🌡️ Verify that the material and design suit your habitat’s temperature, humidity, lighting, and species.
🔥 Keep it away from direct contact with high-output heat lamps, heating elements, and other intense heat sources.
🧱 Mount it securely and confirm the hold before animals are in the enclosure, so it cannot slip or fall.
🦎 Check the piece and its clearances against your animal’s adult size, especially for climbing species.
🧹 Inspect regularly for wear, damage, trapped waste, or areas that are hard to clean.
📘 Let qualified, species-specific husbandry guidance take priority over general product suggestions.

    Cleaning
For the PETG Wet Model, rinse with clean water and use a soft brush when needed. Avoid soaps, bleach, solvents, abrasive cleaners, boiling water, dishwashers, and high-temperature cleaning, all of which can damage the print or the magnet seats. Let it dry completely if it is removed for long-term storage. For the PLA Dry Model, dust with a soft brush or cloth, use a lightly damp cloth when appropriate, and keep it away from intense heat.

    📐 Dimensions
Approximate dimensions (Width × Height × Depth), imperial first with metric in parentheses:
    Small (S1) 3.0" × 4.7" × 1.5" (77 × 120 × 37 mm)
    Medium (S2) 3.3" × 5.1" × 1.6" (84 × 130 × 40 mm)
    XL 4.1" × 6.3" × 1.9" (103 × 160 × 49 mm)
Because each item is individually 3D printed, minor dimensional variation may occur.

    🎨 Color and Appearance
The stone face is printed in a solid-color filament and is not painted. Choosing a filament tone that reads as natural rock is how the naturalistic look is achieved here, rather than through paint or coatings. Some listing photos may show the piece painted as a finishing example only. Your piece ships unpainted.
Colors can look slightly different in person because of lighting, photography, monitor settings, and filament batches, and the appearance may shift again under aquarium or terrarium lighting or once submerged. An exact color match is not promised. The relief detail also tends to read differently depending on how light falls across it, which is worth keeping in mind when you pick a mounting spot.

    🖨️ About 3D Printing
This item is created using FDM 3D printing technology. Fine layer lines, small seams, slight texture changes, and minor variations are normal characteristics of the process. These details are not considered defects and make each piece slightly unique. Support-contact marks may appear in hidden or recessed areas, and small cosmetic differences can occur between prints because each piece is individually produced rather than injection molded.

    🛠️ Made to Order
Each stone face is printed individually after you order, with the magnets installed during production, so minor differences between pieces are normal. Production time is separate from shipping time.

🧩 All three sizes print as a single piece. Nothing arrives in sections and no assembly is needed.

    ⚠️ Safety and Compatibility
This product is decorative habitat decor, not a toy. You are responsible for deciding whether the size, material, surfaces, magnetic hold, and placement are appropriate for your specific animals and habitat. Animals should not be allowed to chew or ingest the material, and the piece should be removed if it becomes damaged, since small parts or broken pieces may present a hazard. CurioPrinta cannot account for every species, animal behavior, enclosure design, water chemistry, temperature, or maintenance routine, so please confirm suitability for your own setup before use.
The mounting magnets are strong. Keep them away from pacemakers, credit cards, and electronics, and if a magnet ever works free of the print, remove it from the enclosure and keep it well away from children and pets. Swallowed magnets are a serious medical emergency.
CurioPrinta does not describe this product as "aquarium safe," "reptile safe," "non-toxic," or guaranteed for any specific animal. Naming a species anywhere in this listing is for search relevance and design context, not a compatibility or safety claim.

    ❓ FAQ

💧 Can this be placed underwater?
Yes, when you choose the PETG Wet Model. PETG is the material CurioPrinta uses for submerged and high-humidity decor because it handles prolonged water exposure better than standard PLA. Rinse it first, mount it securely, and check it as part of normal maintenance.
🧲 How does it attach, and will it hold on my glass?
It holds magnetically, with the magnets installed in the piece during production, so nothing is glued or fixed to your enclosure. Magnetic grip depends on the thickness of your pane, so test the hold on your own glass before adding animals, and bring the magnets together slowly rather than letting them snap against the glass.
🌊 Will the magnets rust in an aquarium?
The magnets are set into the printed body rather than left exposed in the tank. Neodymium magnets do corrode if water reaches them, so inspect the magnet seats during normal maintenance and take the piece out if a seat cracks, a magnet works loose, or you see rust staining.
🎨 Is the aquarium version painted?
No. The PETG Wet Model ships completely unpainted in a solid filament color. Any painted images are finishing examples only.
🧱 Can I order this in PLA?
Yes, as the PLA Dry Model for arid terrariums, dioramas, tabletop terrain, and dry display. PLA is not recommended for submerged aquarium use, constantly wet enclosures, or strong UV lighting.
☀️ Which version should I pick for a UV-lit setup?
Choose the PETG Wet Model. PETG holds up to high-output UV far better than PLA. It is not immune, since continuous UV can gradually embrittle any plastic over time, but it is the more durable choice for brightly lit enclosures.
🖌️ Can I paint it myself?
You can, but for anything going into an animal habitat you need to independently research and confirm that the paint or coating is suitable for your intended species and conditions. CurioPrinta does not recommend customer-applied paint for submerged use, and the piece ships unpainted.
🧹 How should I clean it?
Lift it off the glass, rinse the PETG Wet Model with clean water, and use a soft brush if needed. Avoid soaps, bleach, solvents, abrasives, boiling water, and dishwashers. Dust the PLA Dry Model with a soft brush or a lightly damp cloth.
📷 Will it look exactly like the photographs?
It will be close, but small differences in texture, layer lines, and color are normal for made-to-order 3D prints, and the relief reads differently depending on lighting angle or when viewed through water.
🐟 Is it suitable for my specific fish, reptile, amphibian, snail, or shrimp?
That depends on your animal and setup, so please compare the dimensions, surfaces, and mounting position against your species and follow qualified husbandry guidance. CurioPrinta cannot guarantee compatibility with any specific animal.
