Details
Picture a weathered tree trunk growing straight out of your terrarium wall, its hollow center opening into a shaded hideaway and a small pocket near the top ready to hold live moss or trailing plants. This wall-mounted tree hideout turns a bare glass panel into vertical, climbable terrain, giving your animals a shaded retreat off the substrate and giving you a natural focal point at eye level. It reads as a piece of real woodland habitat, not a plastic ornament, and it works just as well as a display piece on a shelf or in a diorama.
π FULL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Wall-Mounted Tree Hideout is modeled after a broken tree trunk, with bark-style texture wrapping the outer surface and a hollowed interior that forms a shaded hide. It mounts vertically against a flat surface, so it sits flush to the wall of an enclosure or against the glass, adding height and cover in a part of the tank that usually goes unused. A built-in planting pocket near the top lets you tuck in moss, cuttings, or small plants so greenery spills down over the bark for a lived-in, overgrown look.
The design was inspired by the way real hollow trunks and wall-hugging root systems create sheltered pockets in a forest, the kind of tucked-away spaces small animals gravitate toward. Positioned low, it becomes a ground-level shelter. Mounted higher, it adds arboreal climbing terrain and a shaded perch. Because the footprint is compact at roughly 9 x 9 cm, it fits comfortably in smaller enclosures or clusters alongside other pieces to build a larger scene.
This piece suits terrariums, vivariums, paludariums, dioramas, and general display. In the PETG Wet Model it is built for humid, misted, bioactive setups. In the PLA Dry Model it is meant for arid terrariums, tabletop terrain, and shelf display. It naturally draws interest from keepers of both reptiles and amphibians and from invertebrate hobbyists: it suits animals such as crested geckos, day geckos, dart frogs, and tree frogs, along with invertebrates such as arboreal tarantulas, isopods, millipedes, and praying mantises. Naming these species is about matching how you build your habitat, not a guarantee of safety, so please compare the opening size and interior space against the adult size and behavior of your specific animals before use.
You receive the printed hideout only. Plants, moss, substrate, mounting hardware, animals, and the enclosure shown in photos are not included.

𧱠MATERIAL OPTIONS
π§ PETG Wet Model Any version intended for high-humidity, misted, bioactive, partially submerged, or glass-mounted terrarium use is printed in PETG and supplied completely unpainted. CurioPrinta uses PETG for these setups rather than standard PLA because PETG is better suited to prolonged exposure to moisture and water. This is not a claim that the piece is permanently waterproof, indestructible, chemically inert, universally aquarium safe, or guaranteed for every species or water condition.
πͺ΅ PLA Dry Model The PLA version is intended for arid terrariums, dioramas, tabletop terrain, shelf display, and other dry decorative uses. PLA versions are not recommended for submerged aquarium use or for constantly wet, high-humidity enclosures. Choose the PETG Wet Model if your setup is misted or humid.
π¦ TERRARIUM USE INFORMATION
π Confirm that the material and design suit your habitat's temperature, humidity, lighting, and species before installing. Choose the PETG Wet Model for humid, misted, bioactive enclosures and the PLA Dry Model for arid or dry setups. π₯ Keep the piece away from direct contact with high-output heat lamps, heating elements, open flames, and other intense heat sources. π© Mount and position the hideout securely so it cannot tip, slide, or fall. Mounting hardware is not included, so use a method appropriate for your enclosure and confirm it holds the piece firmly. [
The hideout has a flat back designed to attach to a smooth, clean surface such as terrarium glass or a background panel. You can mount it with:
πΌ Strong double-sided adhesive tape. π² Removable adhesive mounting strips, if you want to reposition or remove it later. 𧴠A direct bond to the glass using an adhesive suited to your enclosure.
Mounting adhesive is not included. Clean and dry both surfaces first, choose a product rated for the surface and the weight of the loaded hideout, and press firmly. Confirm the piece is secure before adding an animal, and check the bond periodically as part of normal maintenance.
This item is not chew-proof, claw-proof, escape-proof, or heat-proof, and it is not suitable for every reptile or amphibian.
π AQUARIUM USE INFORMATION
If you are using the PETG Wet Model in an aquarium or partially submerged setup:
πΏ Rinse the dΓ©cor thoroughly with clean water before placing it in the tank. π« Avoid soaps, detergents, household cleaners, and unapproved chemical treatments. π Inspect the item before use. π Confirm the opening is appropriately sized for the animals in the tank. π© Position it securely so it cannot shift, tip, trap an animal, or press against the glass. ποΈ Check it periodically as part of normal maintenance. β»οΈ Remove it if it becomes damaged, develops sharp areas, or no longer fits securely. π Introduce any new decoration thoughtfully and observe your animals after installation.
This is not veterinary advice, and no dΓ©cor is appropriate for every fish, amphibian, snail, shrimp, or aquatic animal.
π DIMENSIONS
Approximate Dimensions:
Length: 9 cm (3.5 in) Width: 9 cm (3.5 in) 9.5 cm (3.75 in)

π¨ COLOR AND APPEARANCE
This hideout is available in the following solid filament colors:
π€ Natural wood brown β« Dark brown / black βͺ Grey / stone π’ Green tones
A few honest notes on color:
ποΈ Wet Model (PETG) pieces are printed in solid-color filament and are not painted. Natural-looking variation comes from choosing an appropriate filament color rather than applying paint. π‘ Colors may look slightly different in person because of lighting, photography, monitor settings, and filament batches. π§ The appearance can shift once the piece is misted, wet, or viewed under terrarium or aquarium lighting.
An exact color match is not promised unless specifically agreed before purchase.
π¨οΈ 3D-PRINTED CHARACTERISTICS
This item is created using FDM 3D-printing technology. Fine layer lines, small seams, slight texture changes, and minor variations are normal characteristics of the printing process. These details are not considered defects and make each piece slightly unique.
π§ Support-contact marks may appear in hidden or recessed areas. π Minor cosmetic differences can occur between prints. 𧩠Each item is individually produced rather than injection molded.
π§Ό CLEANING AND CARE
π§ PETG Wet Model (humid or submerged use): πΏ Rinse with clean water. πͺ₯ Use a soft brush when needed. π« Avoid soaps, bleach, solvents, abrasive cleaners, boiling water, dishwashers, and high-temperature cleaning. π¬οΈ Allow it to dry completely before long-term storage.
πͺ΅ PLA Dry Model (dry display or terrain): π§Ή Dust with a soft brush or cloth. π¦ Wipe with a lightly damp cloth when appropriate. π₯ Keep away from intense heat.
Chemical cleaners are not recommended unless you have confirmed they are suitable for your habitat.
