Split Canyon is a 3D printed background wall designed to sit against the rear pane of a terrarium, vivarium, or paludarium. The face is sculpted as a canyon divided by a central split, with stepped platforms, projecting ledges, and recessed pockets worked into the rock on both sides. The texture is irregular and weathered, so the panel picks up light the way real stone does and blends into sand, leaf litter, cork, and live planting.
The point of the design is vertical space. Most enclosures waste the back wall, and this panel turns it into usable terrain: climbing routes up the ledges, flat platforms to rest and bask on, high perches with a view over the enclosure, and shaded recesses to retreat into. CurioPrinta uses PETG for these setups rather than standard PLA because PETG handles prolonged moisture and UV exposure far better than PLA. That is a material choice, not a guarantee: continuous high-output UV can still gradually embrittle PETG over time, and PETG is not permanently waterproof, indestructible, chemically inert, or universally suitable for every animal or water condition.
PLA Dry Model
Choose this version for arid and desert-style terrariums, dioramas, tabletop terrain, shelf display, and general home decor. PLA versions are not recommended for submerged aquarium use, constantly wet or heavily misted enclosures, or setups with strong UV lighting. Pick PLA only when the panel will stay dry and out of intense UV.
